As part of the Bard Music Festival's 26th season, Chávez and His World, Contemporaneous brings a program of new and recent work by six composers from Latin America whose work as not been widely heard by U.S. audiences. The works on this program demonstrate a world inherited from Carlos Chávez, featuring music written since 2009 by composers from modern Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Puerto Rico.
