Sunrise / Sunset

Contemporaneous IMAGINATION presents SUNRISE / SUNSET by composer Brian Petuch, a 16-hour communal performance that tracks the movement of the sun from sunrise to sunset on the longest day of the year (June 21).

SUNRISE / SUNSET will take place at Liberty Park at the World Trade Center, overlooking the 9/11 Memorial, and is a project of Contemporaneous IMAGINATION. This performance will take place as part of the Make Music New York festival, celebrating the summer solstice.

Come by at any point in the day, and enjoy this beautiful meditation on the passage of time and our place beneath the sun. And feel free to bring an instrument — anyone can join in!
