Contemporaneous will join forces yet again with the fantastic singer/composer Gabrielle Herbst as part of Xperimental Love Fest 2012, five nights of cutting-edge performances at Roulette's amazing, new space in Brooklyn.

We will be performing with Gabrielle in her own work Stormy Goggles. The piece combines a sensory ambiance with a rock-infused core that come together to create an intimate and heart-wrenching experience. The composer herself guides the piece, singing a haunting, original tale of loss in which you find yourself in beautifully contradictory situations: floating through storm clouds and suspended in the depths of rushing water.

This exciting show also includes brand new music by Gabrielle that she developed at a recent residency at the Watermill Center. She will be performing with her new band, which consists of Rick Quantz, viola, and Contemporaneous members Josh Henderson, violin, and Matthew O'Koren, percussion. Video artists Eye Bodega and John Leland will also be featured on this post-Valentine's Day event.
