Contemporaneous audiences are no strangers to American folk music. It's played a vital role in our programming since our very inception, and continues to be the lifeblood of much of the music we play. Now, for one amazing weekend this September, join us as we celebrate our roots with home-cooked food and music.

Co-artistic director and Alabama native David Bloom has dreamed up a spread of southern cookin' that's Creole shrimp, Alabama-style cheddar grits, Miss Lewis's green beans, bayou black-eyed peas, grandma's cornbread & apple butter, sweet tea, and chocolate MoonPies. All the volunteers who are going to make this supper a hit are sure to put in a main ingredient of love!

After you git yer viddles outside Bard Hall, come on in and hear some new music from our neck of the woods: a brand new piece by our very own harpist Anna Bikales and the East Coast premiere of a new piece by our co-artistic director Dylan Mattingly.

Just so we can get a good headcount, we'd be much obliged if you'd give us a holler to let us know if yer planin' to be there! Just shoot us a line from this here page and we'll put ya on the list.

All proceeds from this event will go to fund this season's exciting performances and recordings.
